How could you not mention Lucky L which was the person that created the structure we know today as the five families. Before him, there were just a bunch of smaller gangs fighting for control. He, along with Meyer L. created the Commission and the businesslike structure of the American mob.

It was an exciting time looking back some of the storys I hear about today tell the story well but I often wonder why the littles guys are left out of the storys. Few things to correct you on
The role Godfather doesn't exist in a family.
Capo means captain, captains lead crews with their lieutenants, the lieutenants lead local type crews.
The leader of a family is referred to as 'Don' or 'Boss'.
