I tried to recreate the inflating text that was part of Nickelodeon’s recent rebrand that brought back the splat, and after adjusting a few cloth and balloon settings, and subdividing the text, I got something that didn’t separate the letters, and inflated the letters perfectly, while still being readable.

Beautiful, any idea why I'm not seeing the grow effect*. Its only effecting the spherical field and not growing out.

Wonder if you could pin down the vertices on the bottom to have those stick and everything above 'balloon' out?

this is rad! Also - not sure if anyone knows - but the new maxon one 2023 release on the homepage shows this bubbling pink object on screen (its the second shot in the release video) and I was wondering if anyone knew who made that, or how something like that bubbling surface is achieved? They make some mention of it being a cloth simulation. It just is really cool looking; wondered if you had any idea @3dbonfire ! :)

Nice tutorial for sure - but guess what, I cached the scene and then clicked SAVE. It took a long time to save and the file is now 70gigs. Holy sh*t. LOL.

Can't figure out how to get the same effect in C4D R26, they removed Vertex map and fields don't seem to affect ballon tag.... If anyone knows what to do would be much appreciated!!!

It's really frustrating doing the same things and getting different results. Why don't you tell us some of the tricks you've done? For example, your balloons grow in different rotations. looks more complex. mine are growing in exactly the same direction and look very boring.
