Love Penrose and, as a layman, fascinted by the discussions of physicists as mathematics is truly a kind of abstract and absolute art form.. They seem like critics, or perhaps readers of some sort of texts, trying to analyze or interpret (with symbols and mathemes) the highest form of abstract cosmic poetry. It is good to remember that Penrose is essentially a mysterian regarding consciousness (despite his interest) and still a physicalist (he does not commit to any panpsychist or idealist view, but suspects that consciousness may be somehow quantum....but goes no further).

The background music is very disturbing.

The idea of hidden dimensions and a mathematical code underlying reality is truly mind-bending, suggesting that what we perceive as space and time may be just a part of a much larger, unseen framework. Quantum mechanics and relativity have both given us glimpses into this hidden complexity. While relativity redefines our understanding of gravity and the fabric of space-time, quantum mechanics shows us a probabilistic, interconnected universe where particles behave in ways we can barely predict. The possibility of infinite dimensions or higher-dimensional spaces adds yet another layer, challenging our perception of reality and hinting at an intricate 'code' that governs the universe. Could these hidden dimensions and mathematical frameworks explain mysteries like dark matter and dark energy, or are they revealing a completely new structure of reality beyond what we currently imagine?

There's a video called "beyond the 10th dimension" which in itself may be flawed but it introduces a very elegant idea (I rephrase only slightly): beginning with a zero-dimension point, we need more dimensions to describe position, time, etc. Then further more, dimensions to describe degrees of freedom of possible futures and initial conditions of the universe (speed of light, energy of the electron etc), and eventually we run out of degrees of freedom that need to be described, so a 10-dimensional manifold becomes a self-containing monad — a zero-dimensional point. And thus any point in the universe contains an infinite 10-dimensional universe containing all possible initial conditions and all possible futures.

To me, this seems like an elegant way of escaping the problem of infinite regression.

Penrose has a deep understanding of the historical and scientific contributions of each scientist involved in establishing the theory of relativity.

Sir Roger Penrose is right about the T.E.N. 010 dimensions universe. All is happening in

It's impressive to see how clearly his mind works out such complex ideas at his age!

The music makes it very very hard to focus and take it seriously.

I was thinking the other day and understood infinite dimensions. Height is a specific dimension made of many dimensions. So humans are more than just the 3 dimensions we see or perceive because time reveals difference but it’s relative so all the differences are able to be mapped or listened to or related. Your name is a dimension and saying it shares the pattern in another dimensions. A dimension is the measurements of the thing so if the periodic table maps the relativity then dimensions cross to reveal the relative. They don’t force but more like share. The reason you feel the ground is because the dimensions share the differences as themselves. Like they are sharing to become. So it’s kinda crazy but the sensory information we share with is part of us, the brain reflects the dimensions observed or entangled with. It’s complex but just sharing the measurements but sharing allows us to see between and expand our dimensions which scientists probably don’t wanna hear but it’s how we find things. We don’t deny because the box closes in. Potential shares and we can find it in many paths. Our current universe has a flow because the relatives and the sharing or unfolding of relatives. Humans are free but we also have will shared by the experiences we understand. It expands how far we can predict and see into the potentials so then we can share that potential into reality like how a baby is between the mother and father but shared with many relatives of earth so it emerges from the relative like being found. It’s wild to visualize but it makes so much sense how we can have fluid identity and gender fluidity. As me, i can share with my relatives so i can become a rocket scientist or any difference i predict as long as i understand how. All things are possible but we neglect and deny because we lack understanding and belief is a box unless you believe in hope because hope is just freely sharing, unconditional basically.

He's one of the 3 greatest living physicists. He taught Hawking how to think in a different way. That takes not just intellectual ability, but he has so many things named after him. Penrose diagrams, etc.
I'll let yous argue who the other 2 are.

Please remove the background music. Trying to elicit some kind of mystic feelings from scientific speculation is just wrong.

Are you sure Penrose agrees with your title page?
I've heard him argue the opposite. 😊

Axioms for mathematics are created, Physical world motivates them. Important difference.

If Physicists describe electrons as point particles with no volume, where is the mass of the particle?

Can one extra spatial dimension produce a geometric explanation of the 1/2 spin of electrons? The following is an extension of the old Kaluza-Klein theory. Can a twisted 3D <---> 4D soliton containing one extra spatial dimension help solve some of the current problems in Particle Physics?

What do the Twistors of Roger Penrose and the Geometric Unity of Eric Weinstein and the exploration of one extra spatial dimension by Lisa Randall and the "Belt Trick" of Paul Dirac have in common? Is the following idea a “Quantized” model related to the “Vortex Theory” proposed by Maxwell and others during the 19th century? Has the concept of the “Aether” been resurrected from the dead and relabeled as the “Higgs Field”?

In Spinors it takes two complete turns to get down the "rabbit hole" (Alpha Funnel 3D--->4D) to produce one twist cycle (1 Quantum unit).
Can both Matter and Energy be described as "Quanta" of Spatial Curvature? (A string is revealed to be a twisted cord when viewed up close.) Mass= 1/Length, with each twist cycle of the 4D Hypertube proportional to Planck’s Constant.

In this model Alpha equals the compactification ratio within the twistor cone, which is approximately 1/137.

1= Hypertubule diameter at 4D interface

137= Cone’s larger end diameter at 3D interface where the photons are absorbed or emitted.

The 4D twisted Hypertubule gets longer or shorter as twisting or untwisting occurs. (720 degrees per twist cycle.)

If quarks have not been isolated and gluons have not been isolated, how do we know they are not parts of the same thing? The tentacles of an octopus and the body of an octopus are parts of the same creature.

Is there an alternative interpretation of "Asymptotic Freedom"? What if Quarks are actually made up of twisted tubes which become physically entangled with two other twisted tubes to produce a proton? Instead of the Strong Force being mediated by the constant exchange of gluons, it would be mediated by the physical entanglement of these twisted tubes. When only two twisted tubules are entangled, a meson is produced which is unstable and rapidly unwinds (decays) into something else. A proton would be analogous to three twisted rubber bands becoming entangled and the "Quarks" would be the places where the tubes are tangled together. The behavior would be the same as rubber balls (representing the Quarks) connected with twisted rubber bands being separated from each other or placed closer together producing the exact same phenomenon as "Asymptotic Freedom" in protons and neutrons. The force would become greater as the balls are separated, but the force would become less if the balls were placed closer together. Therefore, the gluon is a synthetic particle (zero mass, zero charge) invented to explain the Strong Force. The "Color Force" is a consequence of the XYZ orientation entanglement of the twisted tubules. The two twisted tubule entanglement of Mesons is not stable and unwinds. It takes the entanglement of three twisted tubules to produce the stable proton.

The music is a big distraction for me and would be even if it was low, I can’t help getting caught up listening to it rather than to the talk, making the latter much harder to follow. Please add no music at all during talks and interviews!

As gravity seems to permeate all the known 4th dimensions and we do not seem to be able to block it, if there many or even as some say infinite dimensions does that not mean it would all collapse inwardly due to huge gravitational fields. or does gravity and mass change in higher dimensions?
