Close call with a saltwater crocodile in Australia

Saltwater crocs are apex predators and masters of concealment before attacking their prey. This big guy lived in a billabong right outside my camp when I was on a hunt in Australia.

Saltwater crocs are known to stalk a person for days when very hungry. Once they have their sights on you, and you're working close or in the water, you're pretty much a goner. Mostly fishermen fell victims to croc attacks. They have nictitating membrane which acts like a swim goggles, and they can also hold their breaths for a max of 2 hours. They can be very close from your location, and you still won't be able notice a 16 foot croc surface for air while on stealth/stalking mode. So there is no way of predicting a croc attack the moment they noticed you first.

I'm fascinated by crocs but absolutely terrified of them. No other animal on this earth is as scary to me. Camouflaging in murky water and sneak attacking? That shit is horrifying. And with that bite force...

I'm not a wildlife expert but I don't think it's a good idea to feed crocs where you've camped 😂
