Extracting caffeine from caffeine pills

Hello, everyone, this is the first time that I put up 2 videos at the same time!

In this video, we extract some caffeine from caffeine pills. I was not happy with my yield of caffeine in the previous videos, so I chose a better source. I managed to get 8.5g of nice clean caffeine!

You could also run it through a silica column after slight acidification. Practically all food colorings are retained, and the caffeine should move through.

But if you grind up the pills in your coffee grinder, you risk getting caffeine into Great job on this one!
