Deadly Heatwave is Sweeping the United States

“Start Your Day” correspondent Clark Dray is in New York for the second day of the heatwave. For the majority of the day in New York it was hot and humid, but short rain storm passed through to provide some temporary relief.

Tomorrow temperatures in New York are expected to be back in the 90’s as well as other parts of the country. The heatwave is stretching from the Northeast to the Northwest. Mayor Bill de Blasio is urging New Yorkers to stay safe and hydrated during this heatwave.

New York has opened more than 300 cooling centers around all five Burroughs.
