MSI ITX series has been the best boards for a while, z490 unify mag is my fav board ever, it killed every other z90 and was one of the cheapest

I’ve tested the Asus Z790i Strix with the 13900K at launch, but just wondering why you skipped over it, I’m about to build another ITX build featuring the 13900KS, and I’m deciding wether to go Strix again or give this MSI a try

memory speeds are so unpredictable when it comes to gaming. One would expect 5200 ddr5 and 8k ddr5 to have quite a difference but it doesnt seem to be the case. Maybe the extra cache in the processors is making the ram speeds less and less relevant. But then again ddr4 didn't seem to have any noteworthy gains either from lets say 2666 to 4k + ram speeds if I remember correctly. But ddr 4 had/has better latency timings so maybe thats why it didnt really matter that much. I wonder if ddr5 improves in terms of latency if its gonna help at all or it just wont be relevant again bcz of the increased processor cache (which will basically be masking any improvements, so a program/game/app that heavily utilizes ram would help by overpowering the processor cache and showing the gains?)

I went through 4 of the Asus z790-i boards paired with a i9-14900kf and had nothing but memory instability issues plus other issues then I switched to the MSI board and everything just works. I've always been a fan of ASUS but I for the life of me could get this board to run stable.
