Genesis tells us God breathed into Adam and he became a living soul. The soul is given new at conception. (Only Messiah Jesus pre-existed).
Job telis us the righteous will be resurrected and live on earth forever.

There is a Kinsman Redeemer, but only if you receive Him (the Messiah) as your Savior, are you saved. This is misleading. There's no dogma about the afterlife in Judaism. Imho the bible (Tanakh only) clearly describes physical resurrection as the afterlife. Others of course believe in reincarnation (as a form of resurrection?) or heaven. However the idea of a soul separate from the body was a Greek philosophy, it wasn't one that early Jews followed.
