Oil City, Pennsylvania Night Ride

I drove through Oil City, Pa at night and here's what I saw. As many oil companies have left the area, and with natural disasters from long ago, this area has been in decline quite badly. Hard to get a good job, not many amenities around, and unemployment is higher than the National Average. However, its still a rather unique and interesting place to visit, there are still some nice spots around. Let's check it out.

The first thing I noticed was the roads are smooth and missing pothole craters like the rest of PA. The city seems so clean and the architecture of some of the buildings is picturesque. Thanks for the video. I enjoy this channel!

Oil City is a cool place. Yes, it has a lot of problems, but also has some really good things about it. I've always been fascinated by its geography. The town is divided by the Allegheny River, and effectively has two "downtown" areas. Of them, I've always found the North Side to be the superior of the two.

Oil city is at least close enough to Cranberry PA which is a very popular and high socioeconomic area. Go a little further north to Erie PA and you’ll be met with a legit ghost town that was once thriving.

You are near my hometown of Bradford, PA. Oil City and Bradford sadly have declined. You should do Erie and Buffalo.
