Absolutely insane. Why would anyone who think it is a good idea to only inspect buildings every 40years?!!!! These buildings should be inspected at least every 5 years, and no more than 10 years. Salt water is well known to erode buildings much faster. What a shame... This is the stuff politicians should be working on... Not petty fights. I hope the fatality aren't too bad.

Something tells me that the building may have possibly been tampered with if you know what I mean. Either way my heart goes out to everyone. Hopefully they will continue to find survivors,

It has been reported that the building was undergoing its 40 year building certification. Renovations were underway including the roof. It can't be said for sure that is the cause but obviously this will be under investigation.

Damn I hope the city and non-profits help these people get back into housing so none of them end up being homeless on the street!

My girlfriend was cooking with her pressure cooker when BAM! The lid hit the ceiling and started a chain reaction. The building started falling down!
