The Editor of the Daily Clarion newspaper hires amateur criminologist Steve Colt to solve a series of murders, all involving venomous spider bites. Meanwhile, King Hitomu has sent his daughter Sombra to the United States to fulfill his plan for global domination. There she poses as a fortune teller and, with a gang of henchmen, attempts to steal a prototype Atomic Rocket Engine using her uncanny ability to impersonate other women.

I'd forgotten about the ultra-offbeat comedian, Brother Theodore I enjoyed in his many TV appearances. Nice to be reminded, with the bonus of getting my first look at his early years before he created that persona. This character may not have succeeded at ruling the world, but the actor playing him went on to carve out a fine niche in the world of comedy.

Sombra, The Black Widow: That is a fine, patriotic plan, Mr. Burns... It is unfortunate that you will not live to carry it out.
