My all time favourite is the Airflo Ridge Clear, not an expensive line at all, and I’ve had the same one on my reel for over 10 years now! It’s got a nice amount of stretch, which I like for fishing the washing line, damsel style booby in a size 12 on the point, two Diawls or crunchers up the cast, lethal for fishing the top 2 or 3 ft of water nice and slowly 👌
Great video again Rhys.

Rhys…this is great. Thanks for the leads. As someone who fishes that airflo hover line I totally agree…for most boat fishing on our trout club waters I find it covers well all the different depth areas of our lake. That’s always an issue which you didn’t mention…many small waters….at least here in Ontario…are full of remnant snags from downed trees or timber…using a washing line set up on a 0.5”/ sec line with booby or fab on point and lighter nymphs on the droppers really is great for fishing shallow lake margins where creeks come in bringIng food and cool water…esp in our 30 C summers all of us are experiencing now!

One cheap solution to a .5 line…just coat your floater with Loon sinking line treatment. Eh voila! 🤑

Or simply let you floater get really dirt. Works like a charm.lol.

Hi Rhys another quality video. Always great advice. So what in your opinion is best situation to use a slow intermediate. As in conditions and that.

I bought the Aqualux on your recommendation and... wow! It's just perfect!

I'd be really interested to hear your take on fast sinking lines - I bought some di5 Airflo Sixth Sense but the memory is terrible! It's like a slinky!! 😅

It gets all technical now, due to the manufacturing technology available these days. Price is an issue too. Good tutorial videos. Like the rehearsal ends.

Rhys, just bought a Sunray intermediate last week. Guessing its a fast intermediate. Casts ok but im thinking its a bit too heavy for my casting / rod. #7 loomis glx. I thought i might chop a few feet off the head. What are your thoughts.

Great video again Rhys, I’ve got a couple of these and though I am catching I’m struggling with polyleader vs straight through fluro, what do you attach to your lines or does it depend on fly size etc. Cheers.
