Thank you so very much. I run 2 band saws at work and struggle with this. Steel? No biggie. Pipe? I have a hoist. Curling up the used blade for the dumpster? The struggle is real.
I will be watching this over and over so I remember. No phones out at work. I changed the blade on the big saw today. Coworker said he saw a video on yt about some guy sort of flipping it and it coiled back up. But I found you and feel I can do this.
I'm a 58 year old women who has less hand strength in one hand due to broken wrist surgery. But on the cool side I'm part titanium now. 😂

Thanks a million. When I couldn't roll the blade I just bought back up to be able to return it, I was convinced that not being able to get it back in the package was part of the rub. I had tried everything. This worked first try. . . Awesome!

Thank you! I bought one of these blades from a surplus store in anticipation of getting a band saw. When I got it home, I took it out of the box to get a good at it. (facepalm). Glad there are knowledgeable people out there to guide us.

I decided to deal with the dimple in the bottom by not dealing with it at all. I drilled straight through and then glued a thin strip on after first sanding it and sanding the inside with a drum sander on the drill press. Nice project. Thanks for sharing the idea.

I have folded a band saw blade time and again, and each time I have not known which way to twist, so I twist one way, than another, re-twist, catch the blade on my glove and do it all over again. Now I see that you twist inward, thanks so much I'll commit this one to memory.
