Hyvää Juhannusta! No traditions here. Just enjoying the long day.☀ Here in Idaho Falls, the sun is up around 5:47 and sets at about 9:12, not as long a day as Helsinki however it is enjoyable weather today. Thanks for the video.

nice video, im fliying tonight to helsinki and tomorrow we rented a cotage near a lake and will go to a party place to do lavatanssit and everything for juhannus. i like your channel and definitively i learned a lot and it will help me during this time in finland. Hyvää Juhannusta!

In my city (Málaga) we celebrate San Juan (always 24th of june) and we go to the beach on San Juan´s eve and do bonfires, swim and meet friends.

Oh, we were at the sea (Baltic sea, actually) but we didn't swim, it's still too cold! But Iron the Salty Wolf did.
it's funny about "winter fur" when we're talking about furry friend, I think he goes into water during the whole year, even in December or January!

My country doesn't have a modern celebration but my tradition was to hang out with friends to enjoy the longest day of the year 😎

The wife and I are planning on attending a Midsummer event near where we live in Oregon. It isn't this coming weekend, but the the following one. My guess for the delay is that there is another, much bigger, Midsummer festival being held this weekend( about a 2 hr drive away from us) and they didn't want to compete. The same group put on a Vappu event that we also attended (though it was a very rainy day, which restricted everything to indoors.)

I don't know why most of the traditions related to finding a partner. But it's lovely.
As long as I concern, there is no celebration in summer solstice. The equinoxes are national holidays when we supposed to visit our ancestor's tombs though. Don't ask me why
