Since no tutorial wants to mention it, if you do not see "Modeling Mode" in the drop down menu, it's because the plugin needs to be turned on. In the engine window, click Edit > Plugins > then search for "Static Mesh Editor Modeling Mode" and tick the check box next to it. Restart UE5 and the "Modeling Mode" option will show in the drop down menu. ffs

Efficient! It can be put into multiple uses. With lumen and megascan library, this can develop a very quick level concept. And I think once the block out is confirmed, the mesh can be very helpful for creating detailed assets.

Hey looks like this menu has changed in ue5.3. Do you know where I might find it?

So I could essentially use this as a means to design a level and then i could convert it into a actual level I want later on?

I keep hearing never to use geometry for final levels everywhere.. but why? Its so much easier to use than modeling programs if you get good at it and doesnt geometry export as a static mesh anyway..? Detailed levels I can understand but what is so bad about using geometry as a form of basic modeling?

can it be exported to something like blender
