How I Take Notes in 2023

I've evolved from taking notes in Google Keep to Notion to Obisidian and no longer use any of them... .

There are a ton of note-taking apps out there, but after doing some in-depth research I ended up with 'Joplin'. I have my Joplin notebook (read: database) in a SyncThing folder so it automagically syncs to all my devices upon editing it. Just a tip.

You think you're basic? I still buy notebooks and write it all down on paper. I find it helps me think better. I just never got used to writing down notes digitally.

That's so sick, love how fast you work within the Terminal... I personally use Obsidian. What can I say? It has a libadwaita theme, Dropbox sync and encrypted notes via community plugins, that's all it takes to make me happy haha.

Hi Titus, I used Simple Notes for years and was perfect for me, then I discover Joplin, that is a wonderful tool to get things done organized!

The funny thing is that there is an Obsiden plug-in is directional between Obsiden and Vim.

I use the obsidian stuff for sharing my notes online with colleagues or producing pdfs, but I edit them with neovim and use a plugin for some tieing down between the two.
It was a good middle ground for convenience since I can sync it using a git repo 🤓

How do you face mobile access for those well stored notes?

Suppose you are on your phone and you screenshot something. How easy is it for you to integrate into Hugo? The only reason I'm still using Keep is for ease of use with screenshots from phone.

I use obsidian and syncthing to keep them up to date across all of my devices (including my mobile)

I'm using VSCode for Notes. I have a folder for that. If I want to add something. VSCode create any kind of file for that. And this folder sync with Google Drive and I can reach every place or device.

I use NeoVim to take notes, folders to organize them and SyncThing to sync the notes in all my devices. I can do so much with Nvim that I don't see a point in use anything else.

I'm sticking to Joplin because I want mobile and desktop sync. But I really wish I had an alternative where the apps aren't both JavaScript apps (Electron, React Native).

I use a neovim scratchpad in DWM .... nvim scratchpads are a must! :P

Found out Apple Notes has a tag feature instead of folders, so that changed my world
