Wow this looks like it would take hours to both learn and do. While that shouldn't come as a surprise I am intimidated by how much work I'd have to do on 1 page alone! I don't want to think of myself as lazy but I suppose I am. I have great ideas and want to tell a story and thought Motion comic would be the best way to tell it but I don't want to do all that digital trimming and painting and thats only part of it!

What is the Illustrator step for? I have seen other tutorials that simply do not do that step, they pass their layered Photoshop file and import it to After Effects, I would like to know what that extra step provides since the video is very fast and I can not notice it
