The Rev’it! Sand 3 is the successor to the extremely popular Sand 2 and it has become much more good-looking and more versatile. This 3-layer motorcycle jacket ensures you can constantly adapt to the current weather conditions, due to this the jacket is perfect for riding back and forth between home and work or even for a motorcycle vacation. The outer layer is made from strong polyester ripstop and PWR | Shell, the latter is Rev’it’s version of Cordura – a material which provides you with a high melting point and a high resistance to wear and tearing. Behind this strong outer layer you will find the removable Hydratex 3L membrane, which makes the jacket fully waterproof. Last but not least there’s the removable thermo-lining which ensures you won’t get cold when you ride in the winter. The protection consists of a combination of SEEFLEX protectors and the jacket is upgradeable with a SEESOFT back protector. The SEEFLEX CE level 2 protection on the shoulders and elbows, that Rev’it! has developed, exceeds all the standard requirements without sacrificing any comfort. These protectors have unique ventilating features, are very flexible and weigh nearly nothing.

I own an earlier incarnation of this jacket and whilst is it well made and comfortable there is one big issue. The outer shell is not waterproof and soaks up water which after time finds its way to you.
