How to make rotisserie chicken easily at home
Показать описание
To many people, rotisserie chicken seems like something you would only ever pick up from your local rotisserie chicken place, but it really is super simple to make at home if you have the rotisserie attachment for your barbecue.
I filled the inside of the chickens with lemon wedges and spice rub. You can search up a spice rub recipe on our website or use your own favorite rub. I tied the chicken legs together and then placed the two chickens on the rotisserie spit. I then slathered both chickens with soft butter to coat the outsides completely. I locked in the spit on the barbecue’s rotisserie motor and sprinkled more spice rub over the chickens as they rotated.
I used two small pans with water under the chickens to catch the grease and maintained the temperature at around 400°F during the entire cook. My barbecue has five main burners and a rotisserie burner. I kept the center burner off, the next two burners on the lowest setting, and the two end burners on medium. I kept the rotisserie burner at about a third of its full power.
I let the chickens cook until they reached an internal temperature of 165°F. I removed the chickens from the barbecue, placed them on a baking sheet, tented some foil over the chickens, and let them rest for about 10 minutes before carving and serving. Yum!!!
Today’s chickens were sent to us by our friends at Wild Fork – so you know they’re top quality.
