Biden: We Need To Ban Assault Weapons And High-Capacity Magazines

During his address on gun control, President Joe Biden called for a ban on "assault weapons and high-capacity magazines" in the wake of recent mass shootings across the U.S. Biden also said that the age limit needs to be raised from 18 to 21 and stronger background checks to purchase these weapons.

What's common sense about a firearms manufacturer being held liable if one of their "assault rifles" are used in a mass murder? I mean they are either legal to manufacture or they are not. If they remain legal, the firearm manufacturer has nothing to do with it.

The term "assault weapon" is Orwellian doublespeak which means whatever politicians want it to mean. So, when they ban ar15's and it doesn't eliminate gun violence (most gun murders are committed with handguns), they can expand the definition to include all other guns.

His advice for personal protection from years ago, “All you need it a double barrel shotgun, 12 gauge, If you think someone is prowling around step outside and fire 2 shots in the air.” First, firing shotguns into the air is a crime in most communities. They are heavy and bulky. Fire 2 shots and your holding a heavy club, as effective as throwing a couple of fire crackers out your window.
His party pushed to defund, reimagined law enforcement, calling out apprehensions as brutality when cops are trying to do the hardest job in the country. They promoted “mostly peaceful” anti police protests. With the number of cops leaving the force on the rise with no replacements the response time, if called, goes up leaving home/personal defense to the individual or good people that happen to help.
Someone who has had access to armed, trained, taxpayer funded, personal protection for 50 years does not get to tell everyone else they don’t have 2nd amendment rights.
