When Quake Made A Battlefield Game...

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars was a well-made and technically impressive sandbox FPS game in the style of Battlefield from 2007, but why does barely anyone remember it today?

Used to play a lot as a kid offline because I didn't have internet back then. I LOVED the vehicles interiors. It was completely mind blowing.

I absolutely loved this game. It's a shame it didn't get the attention it deserved.

I played a demo for this for over 100 hours. Anyone remember game spy? This game was great and would love to see it revisited

I feel that it being a Battlefield game with a Quake skin is fitting. You're not playing as a overpowered soldier that's expected to fight hundreds of enemies in labyrinthian maps, you're playing as a normal soldier or expendable Strogg soldier in a giant map with vehicles. This game could do with a new remaster similar to Quake 1 and 2 that polishes up the visuals and animations.

Quake wars and Section 8 were two underrated games for their time. Great memories of playing those games

Quake Wars was a surprisingly fun game, even offline. I had many fun hours playing this with friends, and every once in a while we still boot it up to goof off in offline mode.

"Pretty good" is an understatement. This game has amazing offline bots, deployables, vehicles, classes, factions, a very simple/non-intrusive leveling system, is fast paced, has the ability to host your own dedicated servers (unlike many modern games), and just has great map/sound/gameplay design overall. Even if you don't want to try the multiplayer (which is still sometimes alive at certain times of the day in 2024), you should definitely play the campaign twice (one time for each faction), by yourself. It's just a lot of fun, and a decent challenge if you play on the highest difficulty. I think a lot of modern skirmish games are lacking the polish the developers put into ET:QW. Almost a two decade old game and it's still super fun to play both offline and online.

the AI is amazing in this game, the shortcuts they can take and tk-ing you to revive you with more health is big brain

I truly loved Enemy Territory. Played it to death over the other bigger titles at the time. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

I distinctively remember this and MAG were the best BF Clones. Sadly MAG never went anywhere 😢

This was one of those games that had a demo where you could only play one map, but you could play it as many times as you wanted. Always had the demo on my ps3 and loved playing it from time to time

Thank you for making this video! Would love to see an influx of new players. As I'm sure you can imagine, when a game is this old it is very rare to see new players joining up
