I really appreciate you saying that about introverts not having to change who they are because several people have mentioned that I "don't talk enough" or that I have a "shell" like I'm some kind of turtle, and this encourages me to not let those people get to me. I mean, I would rather talk too little than tell other people they should be more like me!

I'm an introvert, and EVERYONE is always acting like there's something wrong with me because of it. Once I was forced by my parents to endure summer camp (even if I did have fun, I still hated it, and I never want to go again) and one of the girls in my cabin asked me why I'm so quiet. I told her, "I don't talk much." And she said, "Well, start talking more." She didn't mean it in a rude way, but it was still annoying, because maybe SOME people just don't want to run their mouth all day! I mean,

I get the whole "it's ok to be shy" thing, because you need introverts and extroverts, but people do think I'm weird because I'm very extroverted, so it can go both ways.

Thank you Jordan soo much for this! Just last friday I went to a friends birthday party, and 97% of everyone there I didn't know. I felt awkward because I didn't really speak to anyone because I'm just a quiet person, and I'm never one to start a conversation. But the few friends I have all have said I'm really fun to hang out with. Still I felt upset.
But after watching this, I felt much better about myself. I knew I didn't have to be the one everyone knows and loves.

ahh thankyou this is perfect. I am an introvert to the extreme and I've tried changing and faking how "normal" people or whatever are suppossed to act and force awkward conversations and this puts me at peace that somebody else actually feels the same way. thanks !!
