Adagio in C major for Glass Harmonica (KV 356/617a) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart performed by Ben Bloor on the 3 stop 1979 (restored 1998) Peter Collins chamber organ in St Wilfrid's chapel (London Oratory) on Thursday 18th February 2021.

Written a few months before his death, this charming Adagio was originally scored for a quintet of flute, oboe, viola, cello and glass harmonica (effectively a series of bowls and glasses filled with various amounts of liquid and played by gliding a wet finger around the lip to produce different pitches). The texture translates well to the keyboard, particularly a chamber organ which can match the delicate sound required by the music.
