I have been continuously studying this fugue and one day hope to compose one as great. Mark my words.

I've always hypothesized that in the fugue, the "inverted" form of the subject (3:25) is the true subject, and the fugue itself starts with the inversion. The "inverted" form (3:25) sounds a lot more like a theme Mozart would write. I wouldn't be surprised if it was some sort of prank to start the fugue with the inversion and introduce the real subject later on. Another possibility is that he intended the inversion to be the subject but the "tonal answer" in g minor sounded too awkward, so he felt that it was better suited for stretto/development.

Dissonance...a great sample of how Mozart was ahead of his time.

I've heard this played by a string quartet, but the orchestral performance is so much better! Thanks for uploading!

5:54 Vivaldi asked for a part in the fugue

The roots of Beethoven's music is THERE.

4:39 top of the page, end of the bar the bass line has A flat in the score (32nd-note) which is a mistake. In the recording, they're playing A natural though.

I'm a Mozart FANATIC...is it bad that I kind of like the sound of the tempo? Earlier Largo was droll. I might be losing my mind. I dunno.

I love the baroque and the classical era, but you see here gentlemen, that if Mozart died in 1830 instead of 1791, we would see another composer ... if you close your eyes, you think that you hear compositions from the time of Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann .. Listen to what he does, how he plays and modernizes the harmonies so cleverly ... they wanted to modernize, but the superiors of that time unfortunately did not allow them to ... fortunately !!! and so we stayed in its sweet and his beautiful melodies that we all know !!!

Очень смелая интерпретация, на грани того, чтобы почти загубить опус, но с Моцартом так легко не справиться, музыка спасает себя сама

I prefer Bach over Mozart, but when he composed in minor keys, wow.

Esta interpretación es maravillosa, pero la obra debe respetarse al igual que el autor. Mozart escribió "adagio".

This reminds of me of Liszt’s orchestral writing.
