You might have mentioned that Irish culture is based on the ear...music, conversation, jokes.eurovision song contest etc whereas most other European countries culture is based on the designed buildings, efficiency, clean, orderly etc so when you visit Ireland do not hold back in starting a conversation with strangers on the train, in the bus or pub, ...your vacation will be more memorable. I've been to Ireland several times. Some of the first times I would be following the GPS, going 60km (a little <40mph) and the road, WITHOUT NOTICE would that a perfect 90 degree turn! These "roads" were like wide sidewalks with grass growing in the middle like no one ever uses them was marked as a major hiway! Some of the roads took me through a valley and had sheep galore. ALL over the road...and they are impervious to car horns. They move when their good & fookin ready!
