Well I was looking forward to seeing my first comet. But, in a stroke of typicality, England has decided that it's going to rain for the entirety of next week.

I saw it on Wednesday in India, Kerala. Me and my friends had randomly decided to go to the place where the water tank of our college was situated and I saw this white tiny dot passing and I showed it to my friends. Then, we didn't know what it actually was but now we got to k ow it. Super happy and excited that we got to see a comet for the first time ever. That too coincidently.

Forget the binoculars or telescope. Use a DSLR with aprox 135 lens and a tripod. Use a long exposure try 15 sec to start.

People are currently photographing it here in the Imperial Valley. I have yet to see it, but will look forward on October 13th, my birthday. 🇺🇸💖

Like every other comet of my lifetime, this one is again a disappointing fuzzy blur barely visible with the naked eye. Unfortunately, this one has the further disadvantage of appearing while sun light is still in the sky and the moon is near full. It amazes me that these things struck terror (supposedly) in the hearts of Medieval civilizations! Of course, skies were much darker back then, and imaginations more vivid! They do photograph nicely, however. Like with a "supermoon", photographing a comet can make it look much more impressive than it is.
