For people who just want to get to the coop. Here is some advice and tips.

Skip cutscenes if you have seen the anime (this doesn't apply to all but a good amount of them)

For the duels with bosses (eugeo and alice are the ones I see get brought up the most) use your reflect on moves that you know the timing of to fill up the meter. Chain skills from terms of level (skill level 1 into skill level 2 into skill level 3) on your enemies down state.

Use the system call abilities (I haven't used all of them nor understand all of them but they are helpful)

In a duel you can use L1 (or whatever you use) to see what your opponent will happen in their attack and the aoe of it.

Increase weapon enhancement and if you use the 1h sword and unlock skills for it, make sure to equipped those unlocked skill to party members.

Not neccessary but play through the beginning with a friend in a party chat, discord, etc. It can pass the time more quickly sometimes.

If you have difficulty in the Boss Gauntlet starting with Eugeo (save after killing the gargoyle things pls!) Try to play it safe and use the system call: luminous element to stall for health. Also remember to use your sword art thing when enemies are downed for MASSIVE damage! Hope that helps more of you join us online! I'm sure they'll make it easier soon (if they want money, that is)

Bro getting to chapter two was breezy. I did a bunch of side stuff and took my time reading the dialog and it still only took me 10 hours. It’s a nice recap of the anime and although I think it should be skippable, I can’t see someone who wants to get through it quickly taking more than 7-8 hours to beat it. All this to say what were you doing if it took you 15-20 hours to beat the first chapter. I’m talkin’ all fishing spots, side missions, hero of the shield statues and main quests...10 hours. Maybe 13 if you try to beat all those way over your level mini boss fights in each area. Not the danger zones that appear post chapter 2 just the high level normally spawning chest guards. I’m tired on people whining about this. If you don’t want the recap just skip all the scenes. The rest is all game play. You can skip every scene by pressing one button. Although I don’t recommend it as you get to know a brand new character during most of these scenes.

If you want to speed run it you can do it way under where if you watched the anime you don’t have to pay attention to the dialogue but it’s still pretty fun and a blast you can do it pretty quick but it’s fun and thanks for the tutorial yo

Took me 14 and a half hours and that was with reading and skipping in some places along with doing some of the side stuff along the way. Oh and there was about 45 mins or so where I was afk because irl priorities had my attention and I didn’t bother to turn the game off

I'm in chapter 2-2 and it says "Online Functionality not yet unlocked" even though I've gone through the multiplayer tutorial.

I find it so confusing that the first chapter of the game is so restricted. No character creation, no multiplayer. It’s only after you beat the Pontifex does the game open up a lot more and unlocks the previously mentioned features. Although from a story perspective I kinda get it.
