This was, by far, the HARDEST project I've ever completed. I wanted to do this as a personal challenge to myself, and it turned out pretty cool! So, enjoy the CRAZY rhythms of the Indian Konnakkol now in metal form! (You can even follow along with the printed rhythms in the video!)

That 9-tuplet at 2:44 sounded so sick and out of nowhere. Will have to try that in an actual Metal breakdown. Amazing stuff man, respect to you and the konnakol singers.

Starting 0:45 she keeps track of 2 totally different time sigs on both hands in addition to singing the phrases 🔥🚨

The original duet is the most metal thing I heard in my life. Now this metal-version just confirms it. Thanks

Dude... you need to stop! Ever since the metal Zelda covers, you've been a major musical influence of mine. Now after seeing this, I think you've transcended human limitation... Haha! Awesome work. Truly unbleivable! Keep going man.

Great job representing a slowly dying art form for your audience. I wish more knew about konakkol singing.

This is absolutely amazing. I’ve never seen such a humbling art form. An absolute pleasure to watch and listen from start to finish.

INSANE is the word. Congrats. India have by far the most complex and fathomless rythmic tradition. Nothing is even close, not even african, cuban or brazilian match this mental engineering. And its wonderful syllabic pedagogy simply have been functional along centuries. It works, as we can see in the original video
