Claude Monet | The Greatest Painters of the World | Documentary

Claude Monet, alongside Auguste Renoir, is considered one of the pioneers of the impressionist movement. Inspired by the work of Turner, Monet became fixated on capturing the play of light on water. He lived in Giverny for over 40 years, painting landscapes that sought to convey a fleeting moment of nature. Monet's most famous work, the "Water Lilies Pond," exemplifies his emphasis on capturing the present moment, a reality that would change within the hour. Light plays a crucial role in his paintings, evoking an impression or emotion that is captured by the viewer's eye.

Ce genre de documentaire est un cadeau. A la satisfaction d'apprendre s'ajoute le plaisir des yeux et des oreilles.

I had the astonishing privilege to see Monets paintings last year at the Musee Marmottan Monet in Paris. Truly beautiful. And without the crowds at Musee d'Orsay! A genius of beauty.

It's so good and educative documentary. Monet was the leader of the impressionist movement and also he is known for his paintings of landscapes and nature scenes. My favorite is still "Water Lily Pond". Thanks for sharing it with us :)

Of course, we never see the artists composition full screen, only talking-heads get full-screen...and only PARTS of painting mostly...because the art is chopped up and kept moving.

I agree. Your title is in English but the narator speaks in another language? That's a waste of my time.
