That little ratchet set is the winner for me because it's using bits that can be replaced when worn or damaged. Plus it looks sexy...

Something like the Topeak nexus is all you need, a small multi tool with everything you need on the trail side, it’s perfect!

I just picked up a Topeak Ninja 20, fits under my drink bottle. Slightly different to the one shown here. What a great wee tool. If you need anything more than what is on it, then you're pretty much screwed anyway.

The thing I have found about carrying a multitool is that it is very rare that I need it, however, its almost every other ride that I get asked by someone else if they can borrow it :p

I never bothered to pay attention to crickets getting down to business in the Australian night :) but then again I have never been to Australia. Nice vid.

Basic hex up to 8mm and t25, philips and flat screwdriver, plus a cane creek bottle opener.... ALWAYS carry a bottle opener 😁
Add a pair of tyre levers separate chain breaker and co2 and u have everything u could need in a lighter and more usable set than a fiddly all on one...

Loving the work from Henry, definitely brought something fresh and new to the tech side. Seems to have managed to fit right in with the team which can't be easy to find the right person as the team was already really good and obviously works really well as a unit covering different areas but also bringing that GMBN fun, relaxed madness but with a professional edge.

l love Henry's obvious hands on experience, it brings a fresh look to the tech side. Both Doddy and he have got great knowledge but Doddys is more the nerdy detail with a great length and breadth of knowledge, all its history, how they got to the newest, latest stuff, how it should work and how it'll effect a bike or ride. While Henry is more hands on, from the coal face or at least mountainside, he's taken it apart, put it back together again a hundred times and knows how it actually does or doesn't work and what the best hacks are to fix it.

It's like 2 sides of one very, very technical coin. Have to admit I honestly didn't think anyone could really bring anything new to the team, especially on the Tech side with Doddy. Before Henry came Doddy was so on top of everything and the Tech channel was so smooth and detailed that it didn't seem to have any space for anyone new. At first it seemed to be right as it took Henry a bit to really start to fit in, find his feet and his place in the team but it wasn't long at all before he'd relaxed and started to show his real self, his sense of humour and most importantly a new and different side, look, experience, knowledge and opinion to the whole GMBN team.

I can even accept the backwards cap. 😉🚵💨👦

I got my self one of those ratchets as my first multi-tool. They are by far the best thing in my kit and the only thing that could top them would be a new bike.
I have mechanical disc brakes and the inside pads need a 3mm allen-key for manually adjustment about every 30km. I don't mind that anymore, it's just an excuse to use this amazing tool.

I'm just sad that I can't get the chain-breaker separately as an upgrade. The one I got is heavier then the ratchet-set xD
