I think you can’t go wrong only harvesting capped honey, I see some videos taking a lot of uncapped honey in different countries, yuk, fully capped honey is the only way I take my honey, it’s so sweet and beautiful, thanks for the video. 👍

Kaylee, I would love to see you do this on a frame from a honey super nota brood frame. I’ve harvested a lot of uncapped honey that had a moisture content from 16 to 17 %.

Just over 19 is not bad. Mine this past spring was 20.5 and that was capped. Read that high moisture seasons will have that effect. 3 days in the basement and it was under 19.

Kaylee….it’s rare to have every frame fully capped without a small portion uncapped….it’s just how it works…regardless…it’s the average of the totality that matters….dry honey vs some slightly wet honey….large beekeeper production units could not survive if they had to have all honey capped….but basically everything you are saying is correct…anything drier than 19% will keep without worry…that’s been my experience…you are a true beekeeper…
