A massive thank you to Liam Ellis for filming this video and appearing in it! Also huge thanks to Janik Rajapakse and Grant Stevens for their guest roles.

In this video, I discuss how you would approach training like Solid Snake from the Metal Gear series.

Solid Snake is, of course, known for his stealthy movement and ability to infiltrate enemy strongholds. He uses this ability to overcome insurmountable odds and overwhelming force.

Yet, most of us will focus purely on brute force when training in the gym.

Just as important as max strength and power are abilities like body awareness, control, and mental toughness. It's these skills that will allow you to move and fight like Solid Snake.

In this video, then, I explore how to train like Solid Snake. You know the drill, by now: this isn't a "fun workout inspired by Metal Gear Solid." Rather, it's an in-depth look at the training methods and concepts used by the real-world analogues to Snake and FOXHOUND. I did deep research, spoke with members of the military, and called on my own experience as a functional training (and functional training contacts).

In this video, you will learn to: develop incredible body-awareness and "strength" finesse, absorb impact and move quietly, improve situational awareness, stay calm under pressure, and more.

I went all out on this one! So enjoy this Solid Snake Workout!

I love how you do this fitness channel, it’s like if Steve Irwin was obsessed with fitness instead of animals. Essentially, you’re an educational entertainer

As a MGS fan, this was fantastic. Snake repeating key words as a question was spot on haha

I love how self-aware and yet uncompromising this is.

I used to this through my neighbours backyards. I'd see how far down the street I could get, jumping fences and hiding in bushes before someone, or their dog, saw me.
In hindsight, I imagine all the neighbours looking out their windows saying, "there's that weird girl, jumping and flipping behind our bushes again."

I love that codec call! You even speak like Snake does. Repeating what the other guy said and framing it as a question.

It's thanks to your dedication to functional training that has inspired me to make my housemates genuinely question my sanity whenever I workout. Thank you

Glute development is essential to be like Snake or Raiden.

The people in the park probably think you've finally lost it now 😂

Nice video. At least you are fully clothed for this segment and not did a Raiden inside Arsenal Gear. Keep up the great work.

Your videos are very child like in a way, which I mean in the best way. Like as kids my brother and I would get absolutely worked trying to do stuff like this or seeing how quickly and quietly we could get over fences etc, I think it’s so cool and healthy working that fun and imagination back into training as an adult

This video makes me so unapologetically happy. It’s like a perfect blend of so many things I love coming together in a very useful and functional exercise video, love the way you put this together and presented it, phenomenal. I’ll make sure to dial into coded frequency 140.85 whenever I need the info

There used to be a couple of channels that worked super hard on this stuff- Stealth Technique and Shadow Work. Unfortunately it's not an"acceptable" past-time. If you're out there guys- " Hope you're doing well, some of us remember!"

Good video. You do know you are basically practicing tai chi. People seem to think tai chi is just exercise. Practiced correctly, it's a deadly and efficient martial art. I would like to see you do a tai chi video. If you want to move correctly fast, first practice the move as slowly as you can. Cheers

For whatever reason I naturally walk really silently and sometimes unintentionally scare people by "suddenly appearing" near them
