Body: Tannish yellow dubbing
Wing: Mottled turkey wing lightly sprayed with acrylic artist’s sealer
Head and legs: Whitetail deer body hair

Helen Shaw told Me she used Aqua Net hair spray on her mottled turkey feathers, when she showed me how to tie this fly way back in 1971 in Art Flicks basement. I still have one of the feathers she gave me.

Interesting, two different tiers tied Ed Shenk’s Letort Hopper, and both tied it quite differently than Ed did.
