What is it like to stay at a hotel during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic? I stayed at the TWA Hotel at JFK airport in New York to find out! This video was filmed in July 2020, while this area of New York state remained in phase 3 of reopening.

Nice video! As a former TWA employee I have wanted to stay here since they opened but live in Chicago and have not traveled in over a year. I agree with your advice, I will wait until we get back to some semblance of normal before I try it out. I was also surprised by not seeing employees wiping down areas during this time. The one thing you mentioned that I have heard on other reviews of this hotel is the lack of friendliness of the hotel staff. That's a disappointment, especially now when you would think they would be bending over backwards to make people feel welcome.

I took a day trip there a year ago - just hung out there for hours and even went up on the roof deck - it was an unusually pleasant NY fall day. This past January, I stayed there overnight before flying on JetBlue - it was pretty cool to just tumble out of bed and walk casually into T5! Its kind of a shame that at the moment, only "registered guests" can go up on the roof - they claim it's a legal issue, but I don't believe it - makes no sense. Final thought - if you're getting picked up or dropped off at JFK, esp T5, the TWA hotel circular driveway is a waaaayyyy quieter place for that. If T5 isn't your departure terminal, just take the AirTrain - it's free within the airport!

Anyone know if people transferring in jfk can stay at the twa late nov under the 14 quarantine testing period? Or one must stay Inside the terminal? Thank you.
