It took me about 4 hours by myself to install these. The directions and this video were of little help for my 2016 Rouge S. The back seats don't come off so I ended up using a stick sto snake the ropes under the seats.... My the force be with you if you attempt this solo

DAY 2 OK…. I bulged a disc from staying in such an awkward position so often yesterday and could no longer work.

DAY 3-4 CBD, ICE, Aleve, Budweiser and remain supine.

OK DAY 5 and back on it. I re-watched this many times and guessing that the Chinese probably translates into something like:

“Forget about breaking anything on your new car and just reach underneath the seat and search for a couple VERY TIGHT strapped clips that hold the factory piece up in place.

I found it helpful to use the bottom clip on the strap of THEIR back piece on the back pocket to hold up that flap out of the way so I could see better. I could now get underneath to figure if the OEM clips COULD come out and expose the slot. They were VERY strong but to my surprise I did not break them. Interestingly enough that piece COVERS UP where the new cover flap would come have out. Otherwise you will NEVER find it.
OK.OK.... OK! ... I cheated using a lighted bore-scope to look underneath the mysterious area below the seat.

PROGRESS!

Minute 1:48 might have shown something useful but he continued to work underneath the cover.

More Chinese characters and venturing a guess here but it was probably something like
“What? You thought there would be Velcro on the flaps you pulled under like it shows? HAHAHA! Dude, you are on your own.”

Again, Nothing like the video. The Velcro is now on ONLY outer back piece itself so you have to pull everything tight then set it.

DO NOT CLOSE down the flap YET as you still need to do the bottom seat cover.

@4:00 It show the 3 straps that go under the seat that although dark, weren’t hard to see. You must thread them properly through the technology under the seat avoiding any wires. I figured out the side strap with a different type of connector had to be unhooked and could see it being clipped.
However NOT how it gets there through the side of the seat?? I’ve used flashlights on both sides but haven’t found any pass through yet. I presumed it would go backwards not forward as that was the only place I can to get through.

OK….. now just re smooth the top cover since the Velcro was not on those straps so I had to use 2 hands to get everything snug and press is all against the 1 velcro strip with my 3rd hand. Finally I could pull the new seat cover flap to cover it all and clip it as far back under the seat as possible.

YAY! One seat done and it looks MARVELOUS! Time for another ICAB. I am confident this experience will make the Drivers side go faster. I am ALREADY not looking forward to dissembling my back seats.

You are SO right Prince Chino. I am having a LOT of trouble with what sounded like "Just slip them on".

I will be back with more details but I am presently exhausted and only have the headrests and half of 1 seat done.

DAY 6.

The driver’s side went MUCH smoother now that I know the tricks and traps. This one only took about 40 minutes.

Now on to the back seats.

@5:21 The bottom seat DOES NOT just pop out in one piece. I’m not sure how it DOES come out? Even the paper instructions that came with it say “IF THEY COME OUT. Otherwise skip to step 5”.
It appears this is for bench seats while mine are 2 seats on tracks. Neither the video or the paper instructions show anything like this.

OK step 5…
uhhh Well THIS is special...
Now is where we leave the rails of the video. From 5:21 to 9:15 none of this is like my Rogue until they get to the rear headrests.

Time for an ICAB to mull this over as it appears I am now on my own.

I am sure if you are an Upholsterer this video was enough advice to get the job done.
HOWEVER for us computer tech's it was hard to follow. Especially at the speed this guy works. Kinda wished I could get him to work for me.

#1) I think this video needs some translations or at least notes here in the comments. I realize that Mandarin is the most widely spoken language in the world, but not EVERYONE knows it. Also, stating the obvious wouldn't hurt either. Like all the pieces have a small tag inside to help locate what part goes where.

#2) I think unless you live where it is hot all the time you need to put everything in your car and let it sit in the sun for a few hours to make them more pliable.

#3) If you choose to leave English out of it, at least improve the accuracy of the Video.
@ 1:19 I had to guess that the characters meant "Good Luck" while I struggled to find where the flap came out the bottom of the seat. I t would have been VERY helpful to know the original seat has a cover that is FIRMLY clipped under the seat.
@ 1:59 It shows velcro on the top piece flap that should attach to the seat back before closing the .. There ARE no velcro pieces on it so I am left guessing how to hold these pieces up while attaching to the only velcro on the backing.

AS I said before I only have the headrests and the passenger side top on so far and I will be back with any more suggestions.

Peace

DAY 7
The video is no longer helping much.
The driver’s side seatback top in the video shows 1 wide piece and 1 narrow piece. Mine has 2 (60/40) normal seats to cover and also a separate armrest to cover

Each of the seat cover backs went on fairly smoothly though as I now know the patterns.

The middle armrest cover was a bear to get aligned and the Velcro still doesn’t line up perfectly but it’s covered up and seemed to fit “well enough” with lots of pulling and spooning.

I had another piece not shown in ANYTHING. It seems to fit over the hinge area under the center armrest though.
Yep with enough puling it DOES go there!

Now these seats apparently have no instructions unless it comes out. It only says slide it over, match the edges and tuck in the fabric. Adjust material and secure straps.

There is nothing about the STRINGS going around the bottom, where they would go or how to attach to anything.

There are no fastners so I guessed they the ends had to tie to each other?

There is also no reference to where an elastic strap on the middle bottom of the rear driver side seat bottom it supposed to go.

OK now the final piece is……. Uh the driver’s compartment armrest cover.

I couldn’t find it SO I contacted Lingyueauto about it. LOVELY! I just found out that “full coverage” does NOT include the front armrest cover that is clearly shown in this video @10:19.

We give $20 discount on your next purchase. though!
