How to install EKR 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 Toyota RAV4 custom seat covers

Notes for installer:

- Front seats are more straight forward than the rear. Dont follow their order of operations in this video though, because you will see they undo what the already did in order to install. Do the seat bottoms/cushion first - then do the backrest. I just removed all the headrests in the car as the first thing.

- Also start with the cushion first for the back seat, its even more important. They made way more work for themselves in this video. You will have to remove rear bench cushion anyway, so doing the seat backs is 20x easier without the cushion installed. Keep in mind that this video looks nothing like the gen 5 rav4 underneath the cushion, and you will have to get creative. Just tie the pull strings to the seat hooks. Reinstall the cushion after you are done with the backrest!

(Someone asked in here about how to remove rear seat cushion, and had to look up another video to verify.. You pull up. Hard. Like with all your strength. If its never been removed before then its going to feel like you are going to break something before it gives. Two clips in front)

- Rear seat backs need velcro or made out of carpet in order to use the factory rubber cargo mat. It attaches to back seat. Personally I added velcro to the covers myself, but its DIY

- The factory back seat has an elastic loop holding middle seat belt. Current design requires you either cut the factory loop, or unbolt the seat belt to remove from loop - neither are ideal given the ease of everything else. You don't have to but the cover wont sit perfect and will have wrinkles

- STEAM is your friend. Go buy a $20 steamer and make these fit and look great when done installing. Hit wrinkles and loos parts with steam, and rub the cushion.

At the end of the day - these are surprisingly CHEAP and look amazing when given enough effort. High quality for a couple hundred bucks. Custom upholstered seats would be $2000+

Bonus Tip: Don't panic if this is more than you can handle or something goes wrong. There's no shame in having someone else do it. I saw a comment on Amazon where the purchaser said he did not want to hassle with the install. He took the covers to his Toyota dealership, who did the install in about 90 minutes total. That means he probably paid about $100 to $150 for the work. Note: The dealership exclaimed surprise at how good the quality was of the covers, and amazed at the precise fit. When I read that comment I was sold on these.

Some people even commented that they had purchased other seat covers in the past and they were very pleased at the quality and fit of these covers compared to others.

These do look good, but as others have pointed out very difficult to install. The video skips right through the most difficult parts. I did not remove my backseat bottom just tucked it all in, looks ok. Do not press against the plastic strap clip with the yellow pushing tool, they will break :(. I used a straightened wire coat hanger to pull the straps beneath the front seats.

i just ordered these but read from a reviewer that they DO NOT fit on the 2022 RAV4 XLE Hybrid which I am picking up in a few days. Amazon and EKR says it will fit this model. Did the reviewer just not know how to install or will these fit the XLE Hybrid? I made sure I ordered the right one.
