Sir, I have a question, since the estimated contract value will be considered for sum insured, and if contract rules say works, plant and material, these two don't match and does it mean that we can deduct the VAT from the estimated contract value for the sum insured?

Hello Sir, , in EAR policies for transmission line projects, project having to erect Transformers beyond 500 MVA capacity and having a policy excess exorbitantly on a higher side is justified? Whereas a normal excess for transmission line projects b/w Rs. 100 Crores to 150 Crores is on a lower side, however if the same project is having a Transformer of 500 mva capacity to be erected, the minimum deductible is coming around Rs. 20 lakhs. While we may agree that putting such a higher deductible for losses to transformers of such capacity may be levied a higher deductible, is it actually justified to put such a higher deductible on the entire project???
