If the gov decided to give a check for $15000 to every EV, the price of that EV would go up by $15, 000. The manufacturer gets the money and the consumer gets screwed.

She said the silent part out loud - "most government policies are put in place to incense certain behaviors". Meaning those policies are used to get people to do what government wants. Thought we lived in a free country, not under a tyranny.

parking garages are banning them, because they catch on fire.

The other question that should be asked, is why does the US taxpayer have to pay to bail out Ford, GM and Dodge also…

Why does the government feel the need to incentivize the public? Why not let good ideas stand on their own and let bad ideas get culled out? Also John Kennedy is great.

She smirks because she knows the truth.

Its NOT Governments CONSTITUTIONAL ROLE to "influence behaviors". It's to PROTECT our RIGHTS. Therein lies THE PROBLEM.

So what I got from that is: “We have to pay people or no one will buy them because they suck.”

Because politicians have found a way to pay themselves, their friends, and their donors with taxpayer money.

A 2020 Camry 2.4L with 203 HP can get up to 45 MPG driving at highway speeds. When you're low on gas, you spend about $40 to fill up the tank and it takes a few minutes to fill up. No way would I spend a small fortune on an electric car that has far less range and LOSES range when the weather is very hot or very cold and when you low on range takes hours to recharge to continue on your journey.

I'll stick with my 2020 Camry for the foreseeable futre.

“Government policies are to change people’s behavior.” The very definition of social engineering. Let’s vote these elites out so we peons can govern ourselves with common sense and free markets.
