Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has only been out for a few weeks, and speedrunners wasted no time completely breaking the game within a matter of DAYS. Since then, the run is becoming very optimized. This is the story so far.

Between Link using a boulder to launch himself into the final boss fight, Link again putting a steering stick on a rock to clip into the heart of the Gloom and Zelda building an Onix to teleport herself into the final dungeon, it looks like the key to saving Hyrule as fast as possible is tied to how quickly the hero can get their hands on a rock.

I didn't think Onix looked bad... Then the part about Steelix started. Sudowoodo was insane. I hope whatever Pokemon is next breaks the game in a more controllable way.

The Signs + voidout glitch is basically BDSP’s menu storage glitch. Menus there without the game being paused, allows skipping 95% of the game. It is also a hint of Skyward Sword’s back in time glitch with the save statues, if you want to play as Link in EoW.

Surprisingly, it can get even faster if the community figures out some sort of out of bounds setup. As it turns out, phase 3 of the Null fight actually takes place in a different room, which is something like 50 units north of the standard entrance. So if a setup like this was found, runners could also skip about 66% of the final boss fight too.

Unfortunately, no out of bounds strat has been found yet. But if one was found, it could get even lower...

makes sense. my girlfriend played blind. and when i say casual i mean pvz and candy crush. she did gerudo first and we spent the night looking for sequence breaks. it's a pretty loose game. very fun though.
