Malaysia 🇲🇾 is such a great country. This is our second time here and we'll be travelling around for 3 months. We're starting off in Penang.

Welcome to KL, we just arrived a week ago and already loving it too! The people and friendliness (and the mad variety of foods) make this place 👍 - we also got confused by those trains too 😅

I work for First solar and we have a plant in Malaysia, so I get to work with them on a daily basis. They are the the most friendly people in the world.

Such a modern and organized city of Malaysia. No doubt why it's one of the top performing economies in the Asean region.

I have been to 5 SE Asia countries (5 times Malaysia, 4 times Thailand, 3 times Singapore, Philippines twice and Indonesia twice). Vietnam and Brunei are on my bucket list but Malaysia is my favourite SE Asia country and KL is my favourite city.
Apart from Petronas Towers, there is KLCC Park behind it where you can see the fountain shows in the evening, visit Batu Caves, Thien Hou Temple, National Monument, Abdur Samad Building, KLCC Gallery, Merdeka Square, Jamek Mosque, Wilayat Mosque, Perdana Botanical Gardens, KL Tower, Eco Forest (if it is open), Chinatown, Bukit Bitang at night, Istana Negara (King's Palace) and maybe half day trip to Putrajaya. In terms of visiting mosques, best times to visit are 9.00am until 12.00 noon and be respectful regarding clothing just like visiting temples in Thailand.
Are you both British? Because the lady sounds like she has a British accent

welcome to Malaysia. love the energy the both of you bring in your video! looking forward to see more of your adventures here. being born and bred in Malaysia, and spending a lot of my vacation and travels locally, there is still so much to see and new things to experience. I'm 48 years old and still have so much of my own country to explore still.

You have to visit Sabah - climbing Mount Kinabalu or visit just the surrounding areas, diving at the islands near Semporna, wildlife like proboscis monkey, orangutan and sun bear at Sandakan, snorkeling at Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park, eat the local food like tuaran mee, ngiu chap mee, bak kut teh, sinalau bakas, etc and of course, fresh seafood!! And don't miss the sunset at Tanjung Aru beach. Best thing to do is to hire a local driver and guide to show you around the whole state of Sabah.

trust me the atmosphere at night is different especially on weekend

if you like malls, i recommend you to go

if like to learnt more deep into Malaysian history and culture, i suggest for you to go

Lastly on 31 August is our Independence Day, there are parades across our country especially in Dataran Merdeka .... the parades start in the morning tho.. usually 7 a.m, .so i think you might want to see it since you might still in KL.

Welcome to Malaysia.
Try Satay especially in Kajang. Take the MRT to "Stadium Kajang" stop, the Satay Kajang Hj Samuri is nearby.
Other food must try : Char Kuey Teow, Ramly Burger (street burger), Curry Mee, Lontong, Roti Canai (various types), Nasi Ayam (Chicken Rice).
Must visit : Pasar Malam (Night street market - but start in the evening around 5pm). Very local - abundant local food. Various places - seek one near you or go to Taman Connaught's Pasar Malam (wednesday only).
Ask locals near you. Malaysians are eager to help.

Welcome to Malaysia. Hope you have an awesome time here. Here's a list of food that you should try:
1. Nasi Lemak (National Dish) - Sold just about everywhere, they may be served in a dish, or better yet, wrapped in banana leaf
2. Roti Canai with Dhal and/or Curry sauce - You can get it at any Mamak Restaurant.
3. Char Koay Teow - some of the best char koay teow can be found at hawker stalls/night markets
4. Curry Laksa
5. Satay (Chicken/Beef) - Chicken/beef skewers. Again, you can find these at night markets/stalls by the roadside
6. Chilli Pan Mee
7. Chicken/Beef Rendang - you can eat it with rice, or if you're lucky enough you can eat it with Lemang (sticky rice soaked with coconut juice and heated up in bamboo sticks)
8. Apam Balik - local 'pancake' dessert
9. Cendol - super awesome thirst quenching dessert. p/s: make sure you stir/mix it well before eating it.
10. Ramly Burger - Ramly is a brand name for the burger patty and you can find roadside burger stalls selling them. Its a definite must try. And do note that each stall may have a unique way of serving them in terms of what kind of salad/toppings/sauce they put on.
11. Teh Tarik - literally means "Pulled Tea". Usually served hot, but if you request it cold, it would taste similar to the milk tea you had in this episode.
