Promoting the power of kindness

Kindness is not a random act but a full-time commitment – a respect for others and their inherent dignity. Correspondent Mo Rocca talks with people who have built kindness into their daily lives, who are the subjects of a new documentary about the power of kindness, "The Antidote," including: A California teacher whose course on world religions aims to help students be less judgmental; an Indianapolis community organizer; and a Boston doctor who treats the city's homeless.

I'm an extremely kind person, part of the reason I choose not to rant on Facebook or Twitter. . Just seeing stories like these which are heartfelt... well, I can comment on.
Kindness is taught from one's childhood.

Great piece. I personally like this definition of Kindness as, “Loaning someone your strength instead of reminding them of their weakness.” Imagine how much different the world would be if everyone adopted this attitude towards others...

I worked with special needs adults until the lockdown... sure miss them and my coworkers. They 'knew' when others (peers or staff) were not being respectful to them. Thankfully that didn't happen often. I was amazed at how kind they were!!

So true, saying a simple hello to a homeless person and I always get a friendly hello back. The simplest things we can do for each other may go a long ways.

At 4:29 I had to comment...The Bikes for Kids program is an excelent Idea 💡....Its a WIN WIN.... situation for all!!!.. if you have a local Police department that collects lost or. unclaimed stolen bikes PLEASE take them .when they auction the off... refurbish them... and give them to needy kids and adults...the smile on their face is priceless when they get a nice bike to ride!!! What a great way to pay it forward!!! And YOU can do this year around... NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS!! Thousands maybe hundreds of thousands of good bikes are thrown away every year in land fills....what a waste!!!!... I've been an avid bike rider all my life (50 years +).. and it's a GREAT HOBBY!!! And it's good for your health too!!!... So get busy America...( by this time next year... bike riding will probably be more popular than it's ever been...for a lot of reasons ).... 🎄 🎄 🎄....

I remember when my step-father was going back to school to go from an lpn to an RN (nurse) and he complained about how he had to take a coarse about religion. I thought it made perfect sense. You deal with so many cultures and religion as a nurse. I wish everyone would or could take this coarse.
