Duravit have great manuals for how these hang on the wall, fixings etc. Reassuring to know from this video I was on the right track with getting the discs off. Many thanks.

Thank you, brilliant. There were rust marks coming from under the chrome discs, your video helped me get in and clean up (no more indiscriminate spraying of cleaning products - spray the cloth not the thing you're cleaning). However, it wasn't rust but some sort of discoloured grease. One word of caution - any metal prising tool will leave grey scratch marks on your porcelain. I wrapped my screwdriver with masking tape.

Ich habe den Sitz an unserer neuen Toilette abgenommen damit ihn meine Frau reinigen konnte und als sie ihn wider draufdrücken wollte hat er sich etwas verkantet und dann ist am Scharnier etwas abgebrochen.
In meinen Augen ist so etwas Schrott oder eine Fehlkonstruktion.
