In Mahabharat, Dronacharya taught karna and he was the student of him, actually Karna had jealousy with Arjuna thats why he wanted to learn Brahmastra from Dronacharya to beat Arjuna, Dronacharya refused to teach him Brahmastra assuming his intensions, and then karna went to Parshuram ji. karna actually was not so good person as shown in the T.V serials, he was my fav character earlier but after reading the original mahabhrat my perspective completely changed. I also get to know that Karna actually failed in the Swyamvar to string the bow and Draupadi never insulted him, that was shocking for me.

But in reality the story of karna pushing Arjun's chariot with krishna is mentioned nowhere in mahabharat. ( BORI, KMG, Gita press). It was only written in Mritunjaya which is a modern take of mahabhrat from Karna's point of view. Moreover, Karna was defeated by arjuna several times in his life. He was defeated by Satyaki and Bhim also although he also defeated them later. And the story of karna giving his golden teeth to Krishna is nowhere mentioned in authentic versions of mahabhrat. It is a fiction story in Rashmirathi..
