EU Citizens with (Pre)Settled Status: How your close family members can join you in the UK

If you have (pre)settled status, your close family members can also apply for status through the EU Settlement Scheme.
Close family members include:
- Spouses, civil partners, and ‘durable’ unmarried partners (i.e. partners who have been in a relationship since December 31, 2020 at the very latest);
- Dependent parents and grandparents, as well as children and grandchildren;
- Eligible family members who do not live with you can join you in the UK at any time in the future. It does not matter whether they are EU citizens or not, as all nationalities are covered.
EU family members can apply directly for (pre)settled status and non-EU family members can apply for an EUSS Family Permit.

Thank you for your effort to make these videos. I'm a non-EU family member with a pre-settle status. My residence card will expire soon. I will be eligible for settle status soon. When I apply for settle status, do I automatically will get a new R card, or Do I have to apply separately?
