There is a significant contrast between Jokic and Embid in terms of maturity. Jokic displays a mature demeanor, while Embid often exhibits behavior akin to that of a giant baby.

1) One begs for the MVP, while another couldn't care less.
2) One is in the NBA Finals, and the other isn't.
3) One blames his teammates and says he can't win himself, and the other is a team player.

1. Health, 2. Skill, 3. Accountabilty, 4. Maturity

The big difference is Embiid needs to be fed so he's reliant on his teammates. Jokic can create anything that he wants - he can control the game. He's also more efficient as a scorer, which collapses the defense and unlocks his passing game. Embiid is a great, great player, but he just doesn't have the same gravity as Jokic offensively.

Jokic and Embiid are miles apart. How many times has Embiid lost with more talent than his opponent because HE choked or underperformed. Jokic has only been losing because his teams have been undermanned and when he does lose he makes sure he performed thats the difference. Now for once hes got the talent embiid has always had and here he is in the final

Embiid = I have to score to win the game
Jokic = I don't need to score, I just need to supply my open man with ball.

None of Jokic teammates are all stars, but they look like all stars when on the court with him. You’ll also never hear Jokic throw any teammate under the bus.

It takes a better horseman to beat the great horseman, everyone should knows that 🤔🤔🤔

It is not just the IQ. The Big difference between Joker and Embiid : Look what Joker is being through this season. All the media were pulling for Joel. The only guy who for the first months was behind him is T-Mac. Joker did not show any frustrations. When he lost in 2021 and 2022, he did not put his teammates under the bus. Every body were laughing "Is he the MVP ?. Got swept and got beat in 5 lol". They forgot that he was playing w/o two of his best players. His body language and leadership seperates him from Embiid.

you just can't play zone against Jokic, not only because of his skillset but also because he is european and he knows very well how to attack it. Here in Europe zone is teached at all levels

I think the big difference is in how they aproach the game and how they were raised on it. One played in europe with a gigantic foccus in team play and other always played like he was the most important piece in the team, so now jokic aproaches the game the same way he always was coached to do TEAM FIRST and embied is still with the mindset that he is the central piece of the team and the rest of the cast are just there to support him

I remember Kobe once said something like this about Shaq: a lot of big guys they don't want to be "big", but Shaq would just go in there and completely dominate with his size. I think that's what Jokic is too. As nimble as he is, he plays big ball when he sees fit without a hesitation. He would be out there bodying AD head on.

Because of narratives, Jokic didn't win the MVP in a season where he was the clear cut MVP.😂

I would love for Jimmy to win, but I just can’t see it… this might go down like the 1999 NBA Finals between the no 1 Spurs and the no 8 NY Knicks, the no 8 seed might win one, but the team’s young Superstar, Tim Duncan on 1999 and Joker right now, would prove to be too much.

Jokic proves over and over that basketball 🏀 is a mind game before anything else

The shots Jokic made on Davis and Lebron against Lakers series if Embiid made those he would be roaring around telling everyone I'm him than blaming his teammates after losses thats the difference

Joker is a smart guy. Like an intelligent person who happens to play basketball. He’s patient. I watch him hold that ball, wait to attract the double or triple defense, then make eye contact with the guy that he’s going to pass the ball to. His teammate then cuts to the basket. He’s a maestro conducting a choir.

Embid is the kind of MVP throwing the team under the bus, while Jokic is not taking credit.

Jokic would NEVER blame his teammates for that game 7 loss. Especially if they had more points than him. That’s the difference
