The Fruit I am talking about and the fruit I believe suits him and his wacky fighting style the best is the Mochi Mochi fruit that is currently in the hands of Katakuri. Like with this fruit luffy would have access to a wide variety of abilities.. Some that already resemble his current devil fruit.. But that's not all, because when paired with his future sight he would generate a logia physique, as seen by Katakuri himself, in his incredible fight vs Luffy.. If not for Luffy’s Snake man and Katakuri maxed out respect level, Luffy may have lost this fight. For in the end, Luffy didn’t beat him, it was actually Katakuri who conceded defeat to Luffy.

I would say Katakuri gave up the fight out of respect of Luffy’s determination as a captain. He knew Luffy wasn’t going down no matter how many times he fell.

At the end, Luffy vs Katakuri ended up as a tie, they both gave their last punch and got knocked out for a moment, but they both got back up, Katakuri falling on his back was nothing but a sign of respect for Luffy

Luffy could probably make any fruit work out for him. They all have potential it just depends on the users imagination on how to use it. Hell the jacket fruit could probably be good in the right hands.
