Description:
In this lesson I explain how heat energy from the sun reaches the Earth via electromagnetic waves called Infra-red radiation. I outline some basic properties of them and for further information, check out my video on the Electromagnetic Spectrum here. I then outline two simple experiments which investigate which types of surfaces are the best emitters and absorbers of Infra-red radiation. When tackling questions alwasy make sure that you read the questions carefully and that you know the difference between emission and absoption. Enjoy
