IGCSE First Language English - The Art of Descriptive Writing (Paper 2/Coursework)

In today's video, I'll be giving you my top five tips on how to craft powerful descriptive writing, as well as showing you what a top-band piece of descriptive writing looks like; I'll end by evaluating what makes it successful in terms of its language, structure and style.

This video will be particularly helpful if you are looking to strengthen your descriptive writing skills in preparation for the Directed Writing and Composition Paper 2, or if you are doing the coursework component along with Paper 1.

I have my igcse paper 2 tomm, and my hands are already getting sweaty... The best advice I've heard for descriptions is that if u want to make something terrifying, don't just say it was scary. make the reader terrified. If something is delightful, make the reader FEEL delighted. it was from c.s. lewis I think.
