As a disclaimer, this is a video converted from the flash animation that can be found on the web with the link below. I made it for my students who are using iPads and therefore can not view the original. I edited the video so as to sync the voiceover and visuals to make more sense.

Question: Why does the purple bar (Acetic Acid) still rise, when the Acetate absorbs the acidic H+? Does this mean the pH level still becomes more acidic? I thought the buffer was supposed to maintain pH balance.

at 00:56, do you mean INCREASING the concentration of the acetic acid rather than decreasing it? Because H ions are reacting with the acetate..
