I Appreciate for all the tips and tricks you sharing with the public as a professional plumber. I like to say (your rock. ) I’m old school guy and working as a contractor and remodeler over 35 years with watching your videos and fallowing your guides I got the better results on plumbing job and I’m not shay to say you tech me more skills and knowledge as you said 90% of the job is preparation. Spending time for cleaning the pipes and fittings in the beginning saves more time and hassle on the end plus at this time I fallowed your steps and I soldered 40 fitting and NO LEAKS at all. No matter how old we are or how much experience we have leaning the new skills it must be on our everyday task and I learned new skills from you (Thank You.) Keep up the good job.

For all my valve change outs I use the Ridgid One Stop Wrench it is 2 wrenches that thread onto each other, and the stem on one of the wrenches fits in the 3/8" outlet port on the valve to hold it steady while the other wrench loosens the nut, like what you showed with the socket wrench parts.

In the wax ring case, use a rubber ring for reinstall, can be repositioned the times you need to, and end with the wax mess forever...

Yes, dish detergent makes a great clog remover. Sometimes I've added a bit of Tri-Sodium Phosphate (from the paint department) which helps attack grease and the like if you are working on a kitchen drain. Just give it time to work through the clog. No need to use dangerous corrosives except maybe for hair.

Make sure to add enough water to the toilet to regain the trap seal after flushing with a pail. The symphonic trap of a toilet needs to be reprimed after each use.
